Society for the Visually Handicapped, Kolkata, West Bengal

The Society for the Visually Handicapped is a volunteer based organisation working for visually impaired children and adults in the city of Kolkatta which was founded in 1983 to provide educational support to the visually impaired students. The key activities of the organisation include Education Resource Support, Braille transcription, deafblind education, consultative service and Manpower development. The organisation is reaching out to 23 deafblind children in orphanages of Kolkatta.
