National Webinar on Deafblindness 

Deafblindness has an impact on the overall development of Persons with Deafblindness. It is a complex disability to identify, assess and plan interventions. In the current situation the life of Persons with Deafblindness, their caregivers and educators has been limited to their home environment only. Students who were receiving need based education at the center or in the home based set-up are missing those opportunities. Parents and educators do have an intense need to understand and follow a unique and systematic strategies to address the changing scenario of work. 

During this pandemic situation, sharing of information using various technology have transformed many aspects of lives and has offered us the opportunities to reaching out to various rehabilitation professionals and parents using technology. Online training platforms have become the best mode for communicating and building capacities of stakeholders. To enhance their skills and knowledge on deafblindness on various topics like Early Intervention, Individualised plan, Orientation and Mobility, National Education Policy 2020 etc. Sense India is organising a series of national webinars on deafblindness. 

Most of the webinars organised by Sense India also provide an opportunity to rehabilitation professionals registered with Rehabilitation council of India to gain CRE credits.

Deafblindness is a unique disability (a combination of vision and hearing impairment) posing Immense challenges to the lives of persons with deafblindness, their families and educators.
